This data set is the observation data of runoff and sediment in Jiuyuangou watershed from 1991 to 2000. The runoff and sediment yield are calculated by water level observation and sediment sampling at runoff station. The data include the cross-section diagram of flow measurement station of Jiuyuangou watershed, the extract table of flood hydrological elements, the table of successive flood test results, the table of daily average discharge, the table of daily average sediment concentration and the table of daily average sediment transport rate. For the situation of runoff stations, see the description of Jiuyuangou basin from 1991 to 2000.

Artificial timing observation
1. Water level observation: Jiuyuangou runoff station uses the water gauge on the side wall of the building to measure the water level. In non flood season, the water level is observed once at 8:00 a.m. in case of rainfall, the daily water level changes slowly twice at 8:00 and 20:00; when the daily water level changes greatly or there is a slow peak and valley, it is observed four times at 2:00, 8:00, 14:00 and 20:00. When the water level changes violently in flood season, the observation shall be made in multiples of 6 minutes. 2. Flow measurement method: when the water level is higher than the delta channel, the flow measurement method is adopted in the rectangular spillway, and the buoy coefficient is the buoy test results of huangweizizhou runoff test station. 3. Sediment sampling and treatment: the midstream buoy method is used to sample the sediment at the flow measurement section. The frequency of sediment sampling depends on the frequency of flood water level change, and the sampling frequency is increased to control the change of sediment concentration at flood peak. The sample was treated by displacement method.
Manual observation is carried out by professional and technical personnel; four levels of manual verification are carried out in the process of data input, which are tabulation, initial calibration, re calibration and audit, so as to ensure the data quality.
