This data set is the observation data set of runoff and sediment in Qiaogou watershed from 1986 to 1990. Qiaogou watershed, located in Suide County, Yulin City, Shaanxi Province, is a tributary of peijiamaogou (the first tributary of Wuding River). The data set includes runoff and sediment observation data of three runoff stations. Through water level observation of runoff measurement section and sediment sampling of runoff station, the runoff and sediment amount during runoff generation are calculated. The data include the station distribution map of Qiaogou basin, the section diagram of runoff station, the extraction table of flood hydrological elements and the result table of successive flood measurement. The runoff stations are shown in the description of the situation of Qiaogou basin from 1986 to 1990.

Artificially timed observations.
1. Water level observation: Qiaogou runoff station uses the water gauge on the side wall of the building to measure the water level. In non flood season, the observation is conducted once at 8:00 a.m. in case of rainfall, the daily water level changes slowly twice at 8:00 and 20:00; when the daily water level changes greatly or there is a slow peak and valley, it is observed four times at 2:00, 8:00, 14:00 and 20:00. When the water level changes violently in flood season, the observation shall be made in multiples of 6 minutes. 2. Flow measurement method: when the water level is higher than the delta channel, the flow measurement method is adopted in the rectangular spillway, and the buoy coefficient is the buoy test results of huangweizizhou runoff test station. 3. Sediment sampling and treatment: the midstream buoy method is used to sample the sediment at the flow measurement section. The frequency of sediment sampling depends on the frequency of flood water level change, and the sampling frequency is increased to control the change of sediment concentration at flood peak. The sample was treated by displacement method.
Manual observation is carried out by professional and technical personnel; four levels of manual verification are carried out in the process of data input, which are tabulation, initial calibration, re calibration and audit, so as to ensure the data quality.
