In this data set, for the area around the main peak of West Kunlun Mountains, the elevation changes of glacier surface at the center of glaciation is obtained by using DEM from topographic map and DEM extracted from remote sensing image through difference calculation. Only for the glacier surface elevation change around the main peak of West Kunlun mountain from 1970 to 2016, so it will not be supplemented and improved, and fully open sharing is adopted. The dataset contains one band, elevationchange 1970-2016. Field measurement unit: meter (m). The data set is mainly extracted from remote sensing images, which only represents the change of glacier surface elevation at the time of remote sensing image acquisition, and the time is 1970-2016.

This data set is mainly interpreted data, and the main data sources are DEM from topographic map and DEM extracted from remote sensing image.
Using DEM from topographic map and DEM extracted from remote sensing image, the elevation change of glacier surface in the center of glaciation is obtained by calculating the difference.
After checking the accuracy of DEM in different periods, the plane and elevation are corrected by using the cosine relationship between slope aspect and elevation difference. Then, the relationship between the maximum curvature and elevation difference is used to reduce the error caused by different resolutions. The DEM registration and relative accuracy evaluation of the two periods are carried out, and the glacier elevation changes in different periods are obtained
